Fujisan Hotel is located at the 8th station of Mt.Fuji. It is the 3rd lodge if you count from the peak. The lodge is situated 3,400m above sea level which is called ‘Munatuki Hattyo’ of steep place, and it is the final great obstacle point to the summit. Three different mountain lodges, which used to be located at this place, had been merged into one and Fujisan Hotel was built in the Meiji 40. As the governor of Yamanashi prefecture promoted internationalizing Mt.Fuji, the bed room was reformed into the double bunk bed and curry and rice started to be provided for foreign tourists, and then these styles became the current main stream of the mountain lodges of Mt.Fuji. Fujisan Hotel is situated at ‘Oikiai', which is the junction of Yoshida Trail, Subashiri Trail, the trail of climbing down the mountain, so it has been very crowded with people. The helpful service is that you can deposit your unnecessary bag at the lodge on the way to the summit. If the weather is nice, you will enjoy the night scenery as far as Shonan area. It takes 60 minutes from this lodge to the summit. To stay the lodge, advance reservation is essential by phone call or Internet(fuji mountain guides site). Rest-station service is charged. Please inquire the accommodation fee and the service in advance.

The Narusawa area’s roadside rest and shopping hub offers the visitor splendid views of Mount Fuji and much more. The shop in the main building sells freshly harvested local highland fruits and vegetables, as well as locally brewed sake and ready-to-eat condiments.
Uncover
Viewing Mount Fuji on its own is splendid enough, but it is in relation to the surrounding mountains that one can begin to comprehend the sheer scale and size of Japan’s most iconic mountain. This observation deck offers that opportunity.
Recover
All throughout Aokigahara Forest are underground caves formed by lava from the massive eruption of Mount Fuji in 864 CE. One of these is the Fugaku Wind Cave, which has an average internal temperature of 3°C and was historically used as a natural refrigerator.
